I understand that interacting with cats at The Downtown Cat Company Café involves inherent risks, including but not limited to scratches, bites, allergic reactions, falls, or damage to personal property. I voluntarily enter the cat lounge and agree that I am participating at my own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by Colorado law, I hereby release, waive, and discharge The Downtown Cat Company Café, its owners, employees, volunteers, contractors, rescue partners, and representatives, from any and all claims, demands, damages, or causes of action arising out of or relating to my interaction with animals or participation in activities on the premises.
This release covers injuries resulting from the ordinary negligence of the business or its staff.
I understand this waiver does not apply to intentional, reckless, or unlawful conduct, or to liabilities that cannot legally be waived under Colorado law.
If I am signing for a minor, I confirm that I am the child’s parent or legal guardian. I accept full responsibility for the minor’s participation and agree to hold harmless and indemnify The Downtown Cat Company Café from any claims brought by or on behalf of the minor.
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Downtown Cat Company Café against any claims, losses, damages, or expenses (including attorney fees) resulting from:
My actions or negligence,
My failure to follow posted rules or staff instructions, or
Any behavior that increases risk to myself, staff, animals, or other guests.
I certify that:
I do not have allergies or medical conditions that make interaction with cats unsafe.
I will wash or sanitize my hands as instructed.
I will follow all posted rules and staff directions.
I understand that cats can behave unpredictably, even when properly handled.
I grant The Downtown Cat Company Café permission to use photos or videos taken during my visit for marketing or social media.
If I am injured, I authorize staff to provide basic first aid or seek emergency medical assistance. I agree to be financially responsible for any resulting medical expenses.
By signing, I agree to comply with all The Downtown Cat Company Café policies, including:
No picking up cats unless staff expressly permits it
Treating all animals with respect
Supervising children at all times
Reporting any bite or scratch immediately
Following food, beverage, and hygiene rules
This waiver is governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, and any dispute shall be handled within Colorado jurisdiction.
