Visiting the Cat Café

Should I book a reservation to visit the Café?

Yes. Reservations help us maintain a comfortable experience for both guests and cats. While walk-ins may occasionally be available, booking ahead guarantees your spot and helps us manage capacity throughout the day.

How do cat adoptions work at the Café?

Our adoptions run through the Loma Cat House. You are welcome to come in and hang out with the cats at the Cat Café. If you decide to adopt a furry friend, we'll have some paperwork for you to fill out on-site, pay and take your new kiddo home. Adoption fees are $175 (this includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, and a microchip).

Are children allowed in the Café/Lounge?

Up to 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Minimum age to enter is 8. We do make exceptions for very well-behaved & well-monitored children, so please call ahead.

Can I bring my own cat to the Café?

Outside pets are not allowed in our cafe or lounge.

Booking a Grooming Visit

How often should my cat be groomed?

Every cat is different. Long-haired cats often benefit from grooming every 4–8 weeks to help prevent matting and reduce shedding, while short-haired cats may only need occasional maintenance. Regular grooming can improve coat health, comfort, and cleanliness while helping us catch potential skin or coat issues early.

Every cat deserves a spa day.

What grooming services do you offer?

Services vary based on your cat's needs and temperament, but may include:

• Nail trimming

• Ear cleaning

• Bathing

• De-shedding treatments

• Sanitary trims

• Brush-outs

• Lion cuts and other haircuts

We'll discuss the best options for your cat during scheduling and customize the service whenever possible.

Do all cats tolerate grooming?

Not every cat enjoys being groomed, and that's okay. Our team uses low-stress handling techniques and works at your cat's pace whenever possible. Your cat's comfort and safety always come first, and we'll never force a service that could create unnecessary stress.

That being said, while we will do our best, because sometimes cats are uncooperative, we cannot guarantee results.

Why should I have my cat professionally groomed?

Professional grooming can help reduce shedding, prevent painful mats, keep nails at a healthy length, improve coat condition, and make your cat more comfortable overall. Many cat owners are surprised by how much cleaner, happier, and more relaxed their cats seem after a grooming appointment.

Do you groom senior cats or cats with special needs?

In many cases, yes. Senior cats and cats with mobility, grooming, or coat maintenance challenges often benefit the most from professional grooming. Let us know about any medical conditions or concerns when booking so we can determine the safest approach for your cat.

Boarding your Cat Overnight

What should I bring for my cat's boarding stay?

Bring your cat's regular food, any medications they need, and current vaccination records. You're welcome to send a favorite blanket, toy, or comfort item from home, though we recommend leaving irreplaceable items behind since they can occasionally become damaged during a stay. We provide comfortable bedding, food and water dishes, enrichment, and plenty of love and attention from our team.

What happens if my cat gets sick or injured while in your care?

Your cat's safety and wellbeing are our highest priorities. If your cat becomes ill, shows signs of distress, or experiences an injury during their stay, we'll contact you right away using the emergency information on file. If veterinary care is needed, we'll work with a trusted local veterinarian to ensure your cat receives prompt treatment.

What vaccinations are required for boarding?

Yes. For the health and safety of all cats in our care, boarding guests must be current on their vaccinations and provide documentation from their veterinarian.

We currently require:

• Rabies vaccination

• FVRCP vaccination

Please contact us before booking if you have questions about vaccine timing or medical exemptions.

Can multiple cats stay together?

In many cases, yes. Cats from the same household may be able to share accommodations if they are comfortable together and space is available. During your reservation, we'll discuss the best arrangement for your cats' comfort and safety.

How can I help my cat have a successful boarding stay?

The best thing you can do is keep your cat's routine as consistent as possible. Bring their regular food, provide accurate medication instructions, and let us know about any preferences, quirks, or special needs. The more we know about your cat, the better we can make them feel at home.
